Ryan's comments:

My brother and I (and Chewy) are prospectively looking at this car in great interst.

Judging by the dimensions, the appropriate car to compare this to would be the miata, in both generations. More specifically, the turbo ones. The only diffference will be the weight though and I'm assuming that the toyota will be heavier. Judging from its size I can also assume it'll still be under 3000lbs.

the dimensions that were given to us are as follows (US):
Wheelbase: 100in
Length: 162in
Width: 68
Height: 48

This makes it just a hair larger than the NC (newest) Miata. The wheel base is roughly 10" longer though, so that will give it much more stability in higher speeds. My prediction is that this car will be very fast in corners and equivilantly fast out of them if hte predictions of a 220hp NA EJ20 motor are true.

Makes me tight in pants :) I really hope in comes state side and has a few options.

Looks like a 350z and a RX-7 had sex and this is what dumped out 9 months after.. (guess the 350 had cheated on the RX-7 with a Subaru)

Should be a great platform none-the-less..

Less than a week after Tokyo auto show, this surfaces. Subaru's 216A turbo AWD counterpart. slightly larger though.

Nice so it is confirmed. I know they were talking about the possibility of haveing an AWD version. And return of a Celica All Trac. This could be it then. The 216 sounds like a chasis code they might use. iircc the last generation of chasis codes for the all trac was ST205.

or not.

Eitherway, I'm excited.
